Kenny followed his track career to the junior college of Indian Hills Community College in Iowa where he shattered track records at the mere age of 20. He made history by becoming the second ever and the only American to run sub 20 and sub 45 in a day. At one point Kenny clocked the fastest time in the world in an indoor and outdoor 200m event in 2019.
Kenny rose to international prominence when he captured the silver medal in the Men’s 200m at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics. He made history as the first sprinter to ever run sub 20 in 10 wind-legal 200m races in a single season. Known for his exceptional speed and consistency, Kenny was awarded the “Most Consistent Track and Field Athlete” distinction and was World #1 in the 200m in 2021. Now distinguished as a 2x Olympic silver medalist after his recent silver medal in the Men’s 200m at the 2024 Paris Olympics, 10x Diamond League winner, World Championship Silver Medalist, 2x Diamond League Champion, and current World #2 in the men’s 200m, Bednarek is an unstoppable force.
